What was the application process like?

The application process was really clear. Every step of the way you are kept firmly in the loop. From uploading my CV to the virtual interview and the Assessment Centre was a very enjoyable experience and something I am very appreciative of.

What was the interview process like?

The interview process was great. The previous Interns helped make me feel comfortable and at-ease. Plus having discussions with people as opposed to strict "interview questions" makes everyone perform better and allowing me to showcase my best.

What advice would you give to students applying for your role?

The importance of being honest. My team are super helpful and happy to take any questions, it keeps everyone working in best practices. It is one of the best experiences to learn and will make you present in meetings.

What do you most enjoy about your role?

I enjoy the variety of my role. Working with our Partner System, then being able to demo the product's and then working with Co-Sell Partners to work on their own business with Microsoft technology has been a stand-out feature of my role.

How has this experience exceeded your expectations?

My ability to go and work across a variety of areas has allowed me to grow hugely and made my intern year, exceeding any expectations I would have set. I’ve had the opportunity to work on everything from Customer Demo's to the Xbox team at Comic-Con.

What is the office atmosphere like?

The office atmosphere is amazing and one of the reasons it's such a great place to work and completely different to how I assumed it would be. Being able to work wherever I want in the office and still feeling connected to my team is a huge plus.

What activities are there outside of work?

As an Intern cohort we have some Social's. As well the sporting activities are such a key part of work as well, having played for the football team and travelling to Munich to play in a Microsoft Football Tournament was a real highlight of my year.

How promising are the graduate prospects?

Promising if you do your core role well and create an impact. Regular conversations with my Manager have allowed me to view my work in a different light allowing me to really understand the overall impact to not just my team but Microsoft as a whole.
