Dunelm: A Reflection

Yesterday marked my final day at Dunelm.

Fifteen months on, twelve months of which I spent in the Digital Trading Team and three months spent in the BETA Team, I couldn't have foreseen the fantastic opportunities and projects I've taken real ownership of.

It's amazing to look back and say that on Placement, I had SO many Dunelm highlights. Whether it be managing online departments and delivering stellar sales growth and beating targets, to creating and implementing cost-saving ideas across different areas of the business.

There have been so many diverse projects landed, such as Made to Measure, the first department to undergo CGI, or the new 'Just To Say' Colleague Greetings Cards, enabling colleagues to recognise each other and value relationships. I even had the opportunity to lead and train teams, which have been some of the most rewarding moments. The list really does go on and on and I'm so happy that I can say how much I've achieved. This truly shows how much Dunelm nurtures its talent by not just encouraging, but enabling growth.

It has been a truly spectacular experience and one which I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I'm very proud to have worked for such a wonderful business, where no two days were the same. This has definitely shaped me into the individual I stand as, today.

We are moving forward, at pace, into a strong and healthy direction. We have the most amazing products to help customers build homes they love, and we have the right people behind those products who are absolutely second to none and are very talented individuals, a lot of whom I have made into long-lasting friends.

It's been an absolute privilege to work at Dunelm HQ and I wish everyone all the best of luck in their future.

Now? It's time to completely smash my final year at Loughborough University and continue to build the best future.
