After completing an internship with E.ON...

I was incredibly excited about starting my undergraduate placement with them, knowing what a fantastic company they are to work for. On my placement I have been working as a Power Market Analyst, which is largely statistics based. As a Business Studies student, this has been something I’ve never done before – I couldn’t wait to give it a go.

This placement year...

has meant trying my hand at a wide variety of projects and experiences. I’ve really enjoyed the breadth of the scheme – rather than gaining experience in just one aspect of the company, I’ve had the opportunity to get a real overview of the industry.

I’ve worked on...

a lot of interesting projects during my time at E.ON, but my favourite was looking at wind imbalance and forecasting the costs of this. There was a steep learning curve with this project, but the hard work paid off and I got the opportunity to present the findings to senior stakeholders. I even got the chance to travel to Europe to present to the board – an opportunity I will never forget.

I’ll be coming back...

after finishing my degree for the Graduate Finance Scheme and I’m really looking forward to continuing my journey with E.ON. I’m excited to see the opportunities they’ve got in store for me.
