About You
The networking opportunities and work shadowing were the best parts of the insight. Not only did I have me opinions changed but I also learnt more about the businesses.
Both HR and business representatives were happy and polite. The people from the business seemed genuinely interested in taking time out for us and answering our questions rather than being occupied by other commitments.
There was a specific session on the first day preparing us for networking and helped me to make the most of the opportunities that I was presented with.
I study chemistry so no specific information, but the networking session helped me to better speak to others.
The Company
There was a timetable that was provided at the start of the insight and there was always enough time to for all the presenters to field questions at the end.
Everyone else was really enthusiastic and friendly which made it easier to ask "stupid questions" to the business representatives.
There were a lot of senior people who came and networked with us and did not seem like they had to be there but wanted to speak to us.
We were told about the type of work that was involved in a "typical day".
Meeting so many people from across the bank definitely provided a strong sense of the culture of the bank.
Originally I was unsure of my preferred division, after the insight, not only was I more sure but also had my preference changed because I was better informed.
Everything Else
There were plenty of networking opportunities everyday.
There were lots of people from different divisions to speak to, including divisions I had never heard of before.
I was able to ask many people what they did outside of work.
Definitely, this has been so useful in providing more information about the divisions at this bank and the type of things that can be done here.
