The Role
The team were very welcoming and all made an effort to introduce themselves to me in my first few days there.
The right amount of support was given for the work required.
It fluctuated day by day depending on what projects were ongoing and I was involved in.
I was given the same level of responsibility that would be given to any new analysts.
The skills and knowledge gained about the investment sector will help me in future career decisions.
The Company
Atmosphere was generally very good. Open plan office and slightly less uptight atmosphere creates a good environment in which to learn and work. Only issue was that it is a very male-dominated office, even by the standards of the finance world, though this is more of an issue in some teams than others.
Invited to lots of talks and useful information sessions during the internship. You also got the opportunity to shadow other teams within Investment which was very useful.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I would have no issue joining this firm as a graduate if offered a position. It seems like a great place to learn and start your career.
The Culture
Amount of socialising varied week by week.
It's London so it's expensive but Holborn is a great central location away from the City with some reasonably priced pubs and restaurants for lunch nearby.
