To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
-
I would have expected more variety, responsibility and challenge
- 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
-
The best thing at this company was the people that worked there
- 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

Sometimes I didn't see my manager for several weeks due to frequent business trips but somebody always replaced her.
- 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
-
Depending on the amount of work each day
- 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
-
Reasonable but I would wished for more
- 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
-
I think that every experience is experience and even the negative one would have shown me areas of improvement or the road I don't wish to take
The Organisation
- 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
-
!!!
- 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
-
OK but could have been better as there was almost no structure due to inexperience in taking on placement students
- 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
-
Generally OK but could have been much better
- 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
-
- Flexi Time
- International Travel
- Company Parties/Events
- Staff Sales/Staff Shop
- 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
-
Crisis has touched each company but even if I was offered a job there I wouldn't have accepted as I want to try different areas of work and different companies and see what attracts me more
Other Information
- 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
-
All of my colleagues were great!!! I love them!
- 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
-
OK! I lived at home
- 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
-
Nightlife in my city is great as I am told but I wasn't into that during my placement
- 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
-
Yes, of course, it is a big city and I've done some useful stuff.
- In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?
-
I would say that you shouldn't get disappointed if the placement you wished for turns out to be way lower than your expectations. You should just draw a lecture from it and understand what are the things you want/ don't want to do in life.
