The Role
An excellent work experience which gave me confidence, also playing it's role in making me realize what my capabilities were.
Due to my friendly and helpful nature I found it easy to fit in. My colleagues were both welcoming and fun to work with.
The Legal Advisor was constantly supervising us and providing us with support and assistance when ever required.
Every day proved to be different and challenging. The reading and researching look most of the time. If any foreign delegations were expected, we were asked to help the administration department with the necessary arrangements.
Being the only law student I played my role in explaining my colleagues what was being asked from us. The drafting of the summaries on the subject matter assigned to us was mainly done under my supervision.
All the training I went through while working for the Pakistani Government helped me a lot in developing skills which are mandatory to have for a profession such as law.
The Company
It was an important government ministry hence thing's people were really serious and committed to the task they were assigned to. However there were time's in the day when such as tea and lunch breaks when people used to have a good and lively chat with each other.
It was very well organised and formal.
The investment done in me was mainly in form of advise and supervision provided by senior officers of the government, to me.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
Healthcare from home
I am not very keen on working for the government therefor it as a whole is not very appealing for me. Nonetheless the experience i received was truly beyond amazing and satisfying.
The Culture
Every one connected with each other quite well.
As i was residing with my parents the cost were not that much for me. Islamabad, however is considered to be expensive as compared to the other cities of Pakistan since it is the capital.
Not much nightlife but there are places that you can go with friends and have your own fun.
I was involved in summing, riding and gym on regular bases.
