About You
I really enjoyed the insight, it gave all of the relevant information needed and also had interactive sessions to engage everyone with each presentation.
I did feel that the company valued everyone at the insight and genuinely wanted everyone to succeed - not only at Towers Watson - but wherever they ended up working in the future.
All questions were answered to a high standard of clarity and had a professional feel to them, so I was very impressed with the level of guidance/support in general. There was also an employability session which focussed on how to maximise your chances of getting employed by Towers Watson and alike companies.
There weren't necessary skills developed, being such a short insight. However, the employability session will definitely help me in securing a Summer internship or graduate role at either Towers Watson or a similar company.
The Company
From arrival to leaving, everything was well-run and executed smoothly.
There was an atmosphere of general interest and intrigue about the company throughout the day, as they are a lot more competitive and renowned than most realise.
Being only a 1-day event, it is difficult to quantify this. However, the company spent a lot of money to get everyone to the event and put everyone up in hotels the night before.
Before attending, I had little knowledge of the areas of work or what each one did specifically. This event really helped with my understanding of each role and inspired me in making a choice as to which area I wish to pursue.
There was real emphasis on how good the company culture is, from start to end. The employees all seemed to (genuinely!) love their jobs - many of them having worked at multiple other similar companies beforehand.
Priceless.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for travel expenses up to £50 and 50% on what exceeded £50.
Yes - lunch became a networking opportunity and a chance to discuss everything with current employees.
Being over lunch on one day, again, it is hard to quantify. I felt they were sufficient considering the time constraints.
Yes - the employees detailed how there are annual skiing trips and the like.
Definitely.
