  • This year has allowed me to work on skills from time management to various skills that will assist me in my future career. I have worked on social skills and learnt how to deal with various requests. In addition I have been able to work on projects that have allowed me to choose my modules in final year based on my known strengths (as I have gained a great amount of knowledge in certain subjects) and hopefully this will allow me to achieve a good grade in my degree.

    The Company

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Certain departments are less willing to go out however the social scene with other placement students was very good. It was unfortunate that I wasn't living in London as I had to travel home on the train which meant leaving early to catch it. Otherwise I would have tried to involve myself more in the after work events.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • As we are working in the City it wasn't going to be cheap, however there are a number of discount vouchers and cards you can apply for in London which are well worth getting if you need to work here.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • As I have previously mentioned I couldn't go out to clubs because of trains home however I did go to a number of bars after work. These were great throughout the evening and in most bars there were happy hour deals on.

    4/5

  • There were many opportunities in sports as the Bank of England has a sports club. There were also other various activities that you could get involved in.
