  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very interesting work without horrible hours and with good people around me.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was very friendly and happy to pass me on small tasks to complete alongside my main projects. Everyone showed great interest in my projects.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was sat right next to my line manager who, like the rest of my tea, was always available to answer questions and guide me through my project.

  • Most of the time I had plenty to do - towards the end though it felt like I was running out of work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • My work felt genuinely valued and important to financial stability. My conclusions were acted upon after I left.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • We were given presentation training and my Excel skills improved massively!

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was very friendly and we often had team drinks at lunchtime.

  • Slotted right into my placement. Met my Line Manager a couple of weeks before I started which made everything easier.

  • Given presentation training outlook training for free.

  • Some departments also offer the opportunity to have a sponsored Masters degree.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Weekly drinks and almost daily lunch get-togethers.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not horribly expensive by London's standards - but still quite pricey. Though most bars and pubs had a happy hour!

  • Plenty of places to go if you can afford it!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Plenty of societies and clubs, not to mention the Private Sports Club we had access to!
