  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Good workload given and great activities organised alongside work such as CV workshops, presentations form other areas of the business and more.

  • Really friendly so much fun and always telling me how the work I do is benefiting the firm

  • Good, any queries i had i was not afraid to ask

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Moderately busy, some days more busier than others especially on paydays but most days were generally okay as I was split between two teams.

  • I was given responsibility over sending and recieving dividends from counterparties

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Increase use in excel

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere in my office was nice and calm not too laidback but definitely made me feel comfortable.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Not everything can always go to plan and we have to get access to the necessary systems which took a while but that was standard. Generally, activities were well organised

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot of time, we had time to talk to those on senior level at RBC events, we had next steps meetings for grad and summer internship programmes, CV and interview workshops, everything.

  • Subsidised Canteen

  • Not at that stage yet but good so far

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We got on very well, had lunch together most days of the week, would stay for drinks some days after work

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive as we live in London

  • Loads of pubs and resturants around
