About You
The insight was pretty poorly planned as compared to the rest of the insights I have been to. As such, I did not enjoy the insight very much.
It differs from person to person, some are pretty appreciative of your work, while others neglect to even say a thank you.
There was a lot of guidance from my trainee and supervising associate during the insight.
To a large extent - Proofreading, research, etc.
The Company
It was unfortunately very poorly structured. We were only informed of the venues for some events 5 minutes before the event.
Everyone was extremely busy with their work and the general atmosphere of the office did not seem very positive.
We had talks from the different departments which were pretty interesting.
I was given a wide range of work by my supervisors. However, the firm did not inform us of any pro bono opportunities available for employees nor clearly explain to us the secondment and international seats opportunity.
Not much. As we only got a chance to sit in one department for two weeks, the opportunity to gain a feel of the company culture across departments was extremely limited.
Everything Else
We were paid £275 per week.
The social events involving trainees and partners had a very low turnout.
Extremely few networking/social event opportunities.
We were invited to a cricket client game. Apart from that, no genuine effort was made to highlight the activities that employees can involved in outside of work.
Unfortunately it was very poorly planned and I did not enjoy my time there.
