I split my day between the warehouse and the office and between administration work and helping out in the warehouse with manual work if it was needed.

1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

I liked a few of the staff but the work was a struggle and one I hated coming in to work for.

I tended to get my head down and work so they were always full of praise for my workrate but a few of my colleagues irritated me and I found I clashed with a few of them.

My manager was someone who I didn't connect with and so I didn't feellike I could ask for help or guidance.

I had an awful lot of work to do so just got my head down and did it. At times it was too much.

I don't think I was given much responsibility. Not when you think I was a university intern. They just treat me like a bit above the temp staff.

I've improved on communication and working for a big company but it was really enough for a university placement.

I don't think they were quite sure whether to treat me as an intern or a temp worker and so they just treated me like the latter, which made me unsure what my role was.

I only talked to a few people so I wouldn't say there was a good social scene.

I lived and hung out with friends from uni so it was similar to university years which is cheap.

Everyone seemed to have their own seperate friends from their personal lives.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

If you are offered the placement training scheme do take it! I didn't as I thought it would be extra hassle but I quickly realised you get better responsibility and a better experience if you do.
