  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was good because I got a good overview of how the investment division works and how the different teams worked together on projects.

  • I was given adequate support during my internship and the mentors were always willing to help when I asked them.

  • I was not too busy but the work load was enough to keep you active and engaged throughout the day.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • During an internship you can't expect to be involved in all of the work the team does but I felt that I was able to help out in some small way when asked to be involved.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Perhaps the skills I developed will help me in my future jobs more than in my degree studies as the skills and intuitions I developed in Towers Watson can be utilised better in a work environment than in university.

  • It was a mixture of fun and seriousness in right mixture. An engaging experience.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Given that it was a 6 week internship I didn't expect much but I realised quickly that if you had an appetite to learn more about the work then people were more than welcome to teach you.

  • Yes very much so. Drinks, dinner, movies, you name it, we've done it.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes. If you ask around I'm sure you can get involved in sports and other social activities.
