    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Overall I enjoyed the placement, however I believe I was at the company during a transition period in which the company is improving considerably

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I have made some good friends with the colleagues and I have never felt like the "Placement student"

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There was a lack of support during my year here, but towards the end of my placement as agile methodologies are being implemented a lot more effectively there is a lot more support and guidance

    2/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Throughout my placement I have had to use my initiative and create work for myself, which I do mind to an extent but others may find this tedious

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • During my year I felt like an "expert" especially where the physical and virtual infrastructure was concerned, many of my colleagues would come to me for advice and I would also manage these environments by myself

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I have learnt will hopefully stay with me for the rest of my work life, it has directed me with my final year project and I'm sure the skills I've learnt this year will give me a huge boost when I find a graduate placement

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere can be very quiet most of the time, but people would always stop and talk if you needed anything

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The interview process was very well organised and at Clearswift there is a transition period were the last year's placement student would mentor the next years student for a month which is very helpful when finding your feet.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
