  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Very enjoyable and made to feel very welcome

    • Not entirely applicable to the type of placement but it was clear that employees at the Bank of England are highly valued and get every opportunity to progress professionally

    • Good advice was given on the best way to apply to graduate schemes.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The information and activities done should assist in all type of future job application, not just at the Bank of England itself. I liked the fairly "neutral" approach of the presentations.

    • Well structured with well-timed breaks. This helped the flow of the day and gave sufficient opportunity to talk to others also.

    • Very friendly, yet professional.

    • Considering it was just one day, it was very good of them to offer to contribute to my travel expenses and offer me lunch.

    • There were representatives from different sectors throughout the day and they gave a good idea of the work ethic required

    • Talks/Q&A sessions by current employees gave a good idea of what the culture is like at the Bank of England

    • I would not expect this type of Insight Day to be paid.

    • Yes, there were opportunities to meet current graduates working in different departments and roles

    • Limited as it was just one day, but lunch was a great chance to talk to others and learn.

    • We found out that employees can take part in flexible working to pursue further study (which is sometimes paid for by the Bank of England)

    • Yes, it was a useful day and completely fit for purpose.
