Within my business role I was working on individual projects as well as group work. Taking part in several daily conference calls and face to face meetings.

Aside from my team I worked with a group of other interns on a project that was to be delivered at the end of the 8 week internship. This required good time management skills as had to be juggled amongst daily routine.

I had an incredible line manager where he was fully supportive and saw my development and my gain from the experience the most important thing followed by them getting the most out of having an extra pair of hands.

More than I expected. I was project managing a piece of work that was an essential deliverable for the business. I had support but the trust they put in me was a great confidence boost and developer.

The technical skills learnt in my specific area in Global Payments wont be directly useful for my degree but the personal development areas such as communication and time management which were really tested will be invaluable in the future. Also just experience in a work place and familiarising myself with new terminology will be easily transferable.

A few organised events but we tended to organise amongst ourselves most evenings.

London is as expected quite expensive so the socialising was pricey. I was fortunate to have family to stay with in London so I didnt pay for accomodation.

Always somewhere to go in London when just stayed in Canary Wharf for drinks was good fun.
