Engaging in primary research and drafting research notes for publication as well as monitoring market conditions to assist in writing market commentaries for industry magazine.

Secondary tasks included assisting senior research analysts prepare for client presentations and media interviews, assisting in the development of economic forecasting models, enhancing trade strategy models.

All round a very good and challenging learning experience. Was exposed to a wide range of different areas within capital markets, beyond research. Was able to work with other areas of research and strategy teams including, emerging markets, foreign exchange and fixed income.

The firm is taking great strides forward strategically, significantly expanding global investment banking and capital markets operations. As a smaller bank on the international stage, in order to compete effectively against larger and more established firms, the challenge and demand for innovative client solutions is invigorating. The prospects of building a rising global brand and business is definitely exciting.
