  • The whole experience has been one of the best in my life.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everybody is so friendly, other interns and HP employees. There is a nice atmosphere, jokes and laughter.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • HP has a open door policy; if you have any questions you can ask anyone for help and you will receive it. You also have regular meetings with your manager and mentor to keep on top of work and progress.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Yes I had many different jobs to do from organising HP's contribution to a careers event to testing fixes for customers. As I am in product support work can come in quite suddenly due to any customer problems that arise.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Yes, lots of responsibility, straight away I was made to feel valued by the way my team trusted me with work.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt so much about the general business world, I've become far more confident as a person and in my abilities, I've been able to apply what I've learnt in my degree to industry and have learnt many skills that I wouldn't have done at university.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There is such a good relationship between employees and interns. The interns also have a great bond and socialise together outside of work.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Little vague when starting - was told there would be an induction day with other students and never received notice. Took about a month for someone supporting placement students to get in touch but now a much better support environment.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
