  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • A very fun internship. Got a lot of experience and responsibility. Lots of other interns also works there and its a fun social place to work.

    • Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. You attend meetings with directors and other colleges and you are part of a team like a full time employee would be

    • We had a weekly catch up every week and I could always ask for help at any point if needed.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • Yes I had about 3 days during the whole year where I had a quiet day. The other days were always busy and I was never bored. If you had too much on you could raise this and they would manage your workload for you

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I got more responsibility towards the end after about 6 months. At the start they need to get to know you so you don't get as much. By the end I created presentations that senior managers also worked on.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Profesionalism, writing skills and a professional tone from emails. Had management and leadership training workshops and also Disney university in which you can attend talks on other companies etc.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Very fun and socialable. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Lots of activities/events/birthdays going on so always time to meet others.

    • The HR team introduced us to other interns on Facebook and we had an induction. We also had a welcome to Disney to get to know about the company

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • You could attend training sessions if they weren't over subscribed. I also just learn't things on the job. Not lots of specic training but there was some.

    • If there is a job available there is good future employment prospects however if not I don't think they can create a role just for you.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Yes about 100 interns so you can all be friends and meet up. Moving to London I didn't know anyone so I made a whole new set of friends.

    • London is expensive but you just have to embrace it and enjoy it

    • Hammersmith doesnt have great nightlife but you can easily get to central or anywhere else

    • Yes Disney Volunteers, netball, volunteering at great ormond street hosptial
