- Role Description
*Creation of the Risk Management Plan for the Parts Retirement Project.
*Gather and summarize competitor intelligence around third party service
providers for legacy/mature engine programmes
*Develop SCP&C knowledge across the Services/CFBU and SCU Business. *Develop programme management skills and competencies. Develop inter personal and influencing skills within RR Business context.
*Support the programme manager and team in the implementation on the policy. Liaise with different areas within the business to understand progress on activities and provide support as necessary.- 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

I have enjoyed my internship and it will be hard for a second internship to measure up to this one.
- 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

I interacted more with the people in my office, but it was a good working environment, with funny colleagues.
- 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

My manager spent time with me whenever I needed her to.
- 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

I was not bored, I had interesting tasks across various departments and I can say that I learned a lot by doing them.
- 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

My manager trusted me to have meetings with people that I did not know and then feedback to her, which was challenging, but it helped me develop.
- 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

I gained a lot of technical skills( I could go on another project and develop a risk management plan) and interpersonal skills(it was challenging to work with some people).

It was a good working atmosphere.

I think that personal development is emphasized across the firm and tasks are accordingly.

Whenever I wanted to do a course, my manager allowed me to.

I want to come back on a second summer internship.
Other Information
- 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

All the interns stayed together in the Halls of Derby University, which made it never boring. I met great people that I will keep in touch with.
- 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
-
Derby is a cheaper city than London, but we did go out quite a lot.
- 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
-
Everybody knows that Friday night is tradition.
- 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
-
International Society, Leisure Association
