Whilst initially at clients there was a fair amount of work shadowing, during my time out at my final client I was left to complete several tasks on my own.

The initial first week spent in London allowed for plenty of socialising with the other interns.

13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

I lived in my student house so the cost of living was already factored in. Going out was also reasonably priced.

I played in a mixed local accountancy football tournement and went along to staff nights out with a lot of the younger workers.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

The internship is definately worthwhile if you are unsure as to whether a career in accountancy is right for you or not as being only 6 weeks long, it's long enough to get a good insight into what you will be doing if you were to join when graduating without taking a big chunk out of your holiday.
