Quiet and serious, but relaxed and friendly. Short hours relative to others mean you work hard for the working hours, but things never get stressed.

Good series of meetings and talks, well thought out structure, accommodation sorted out for us. Perhaps one week too short.

Other interns were very sociable, good sports social scene and staff took us out for drinks after work. Edinburgh is also a great city and very busy.

13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

Luckily accommodation was heavily subsidised, and Edinburgh is obviously very cheap comapred to London. However lots of bars and clubs are expensive, restaurants are probably even more so. But, if you find the right places, and there are lotsd of these, then there are some bargains

Strong. Not as good as London, obviously. Infinite amounts of pubs and bars, some decent clubs, and a great all round atmosphere becuase of the Festival.

15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

Yes, lots of sports, went to some flat warming parties, and because the festival is on there are lots of things to go and do, and the company has tickets to some of these.
