  • I thought the day was very interesting but perhaps they tried to fit too much all into one day.

  • The company certainly put a lot of effort into the day which made us feel wanted.

  • Very well structured

  • Interesting but there were perhaps too many powerpoints which by the end of the day became a bit dull

  • Very little as it was just an insight day so I wan't really expecting them to.

  • We heard from all different sections in the company which meant we got a fairly good idea of what it would be like to have a full-time role, although we didn't get any hands-on experience.

  • I learnt a lot about the company's culture as some of the employees came down to speak to us at lunchtime. We also had a session about how the company helps minorities which was also very helpful in understanding the culture.

  • it was quite useful as I found out about different parts of the area I'm interested in which I never knew existed.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • At lunchtime some of the employees came to talk to us and there were also employees to help us when we played our business games.

  • There were very little social event opportunities but as this was only a one day event that's to be expected.

  • We heard about all the sports activities that employees get involved with and also the ways they raise money for charity.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I think anyone thinking of applying for actuarial consulting or investment consulting should go on a day like this, as it doesn't take much time and you really get a feel for what the company is like and a better understanding of what the job entails.
