The Role
Surrounded by chatty people all the time and everyone seemed genuine. Most colleagues had the same general interested and wanted to raise money for one cause. This led to very good team spirit.
The whole team was extremely friendly and could always bring my mood up if id had a bad day a uni. People asked if you were absent any weeks which made my presence feel appreciated.
During my interview process i had to undergo two assessment days which gave me the full training required to undergo the job. From then on in i was just encouraged by the senior staff.
Unfortunately sometimes we were required to travel far distances which meant a lot of my time was taken up unpaid. During actually work hours though i found there was a good balance of work and relaxation.
Every shift i was required to meet criteria which in a way meant i had a lot of responsibility for my own job. In terms of the team though i wasnt given any major responsibilities.
I honed many skills during this placement year including my language and presentational skills alongside ethical selling of services.
The Company
The general atmosphere was one of the most appealing aspects of this job as i could always go into work and expect to have a good day.
The overall experience in my opinion was set up similarly to any normal job. I went through the standard application process and then into the internship.
I was always encouraged to beat my targets and help the organisation but i wasnt pushed to any great extent.
Financial Bonus
The financial bonus' i received for putting in extra effort were great so i would definitely like to do this job but i couldnt do it all my life. Its not related to my degree that much so it gives me another option.
The Culture
The social scene in this organisation was amazing and there was always someone to have an interesting conversation with. Plus then you were constantly talking to members of the public too.
In the city centre i found that it was a bit pricey but if you travelled a sort while on the bus you could easily find things to do that were cheap.
In the city centre the nightlife was buzzing and there were areas dedicated to clubs and bars. Sometimes me and friends wouldnt be up for that but there were plenty of pubs too.
There were many other opportunities i could have done outside of work. I chose not to do these though.
