    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the Insight Experience at Towers Watson. Filled with presentations and business games, every part of the day was different and there are many experiences that I will take away. Some presentations dragged on a little, but overall it was a good day and I look forward to applying there again.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Overall, Towers Watson were very hospitable. Starting the day off with ice breakers, the staff were friendly and approachable and you would feel at ease asking any questions. Meeting graduates at lunch was great for learning more about the company.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Most of the insight day was about the company themselves rather than personal guidance but the employability session at the end was a great way to pick up skills.

    3/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learning a lot of interview skills as well as application tips will help me a lot in job hunting.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was organised well, with set times for sessions and lunch. Some presentations took longer than previously planned leading to a shorter lunch and a later end to the day but overall, transitions between activities faced little problems.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Towers Watson had a good, friendly atmosphere overall. With approachable graduates and staff as well as many other insight candidates to talk to, the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The employability session allowed us to pick up many tips for applying anywhere in the future and not just to Towers Watson. The Graduate Recruitment team told us what they expected on each application and a lot will be taken away.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • With presentations about each sector at Towers Watson, we gained a lot of knowledge about the roles required to have a job there. The presenters were informative and spoke clearly. Some explanations dragged on a bit but they were nicely broken down into business games to show what might be done on a normal working day.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The first presentation was on the values of the company and we got to learn more about schemes such as the women's movement .

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • From what I learned, I will be definitely looking to apply to Towers Watson for an internship, and the insight confirmed the main route I want to take in my career.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Travel expenses were kindly reimbursed.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • As well as many opportunities to ask questions, we were able to network and meet many employees at lunch.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The networking at lunch was a bit crowded and there was not much space to move around but it was adequate overall.
