  • Both the direct team and the wider organisation treat you like one their own. Really welcomed from day one, always invited to outside activities, such a bdays, meals and social events.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Weekly 1-1s with a coach, and monthly with a manager. Able to request more if needed, and always welcomed.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Always something to do, however never feel overworked. Always additional opportunities if you want them, and plenty of responsibilities.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Given a number of customer accounts to look after, no one sits and watches your every move. I was able to run the account on my own with help when needed. Was able to make decisions on my own without having to get approval for everything.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt more than I can write about. Plenty of training classes during induction period, with opportunities to do more throughout the year including presentation skills, stakeholder management, influencing etc.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Always a pleasant environment to work in. Relaxed enough to not feel the pressure but not so much that you feel left to your own devices. Everyone in the office is able to have fun and there is always sweets and goodies on the tables!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • From sending the initial application form, to starting the first day there was always coms sent out and I always felt in the loop. I never felt the need to chase for a response or felt unsure about what was happening. Very quick turn around from the online stage to the assessment centre. Super.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 2 weeks intensive training both online and in class. The on-going classes throughout the year. Compulsory refresher training for all staff is included also, so they keep your knowledge up to date,

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Sports and Social Club

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    International Travel

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    Healthcare from home

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would 100% go back if I get offered the chance. The headcount is unknown until after Christmas the year you leave, so you will not always know if you get a job straight away. However, you do get given an idea of whether you are in the hire back list (if jobs are there)

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The opportunities are endless. There are a number of intern committees you can join, a number of nights out planned/unplanned. Last few years have all gone to Amsterdam. There are also opportunities to go to concerts, shows, expos etc at a discounted price.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • If you stay outside of the Old Town then the prices are very reasonable. Rent is less than £400 inc bills. Plenty or bars and pubs to chose from.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Perfectly acceptable, only 2 night clubs but a huge amount of bars and clubs.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Number of Sports and Social committees. Golf, Tennis, Netball, Football, Concerts, Walking Events etc..

    4/5
