The Role
Very enjoyable, I felt very resposible and was delegated a great amount of work.
My colleagues made me feel very involved in all marketing purposes of the job.
A new marketing manager was hired this year, which has made the role much easier to assimilate into and understand. Especially when working in the technology industry where our products can be very complicated and difficult to understand. I have also been able to meet many customers and events, production sites, tradeshows.
My role is very busy, I am delegated a lot of work as marketing executive with my marketing manager.
I have been delegated a lot of responsibility in helping/supporting the marketing management of my department.
I have become much more organised, attentative and efficient in my work during my placement. This will be highly beneficial for when I return to university as the workload will be substancially more than my first two years! My experience at HP will be especially helpful in my future career as I have experienced the marketing role I wish to succeed in!
The Company
Very friendly up-beat atmosphere in te office
The recruitment and handover were good, however the role was not clearly defined when I started, as a new marketing manager was hired. However after the two months we seperated our responsibilities for a more clearer role.
I am offered to take part in any experience I want to. That must be the best part of HP!
Subsidised Canteen

Very, I would definitely come back to work in the same role after university!
The Culture
HP has a great intern community who are encouraged to live together and socialise in and out of work.
Not too expensive but much cheaper to commute!
Reading has a lot of bars and clubs for interns.
Pleanty of opportunity for out of work socialising! We have an events organiser on our committee dedicated to this.
