    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The storngpoints of the program were definitely its completeness and structure. Amost all the areas of Deloitte were covered in quite a great deal of details so if you're curious about how such a big firm works that is definitely an enjoyable program, with a lot of valuable insights. However I didn't find the firm representatives too enthusiastic.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Being a placement of only 2 days there's not much to say. However I felt that the employees of Deloitte were very friendly and ready to chat about their experiences in general. So on overall the atmosphere was nice and friendly. Surely they are interested in selecting the best candidates so you feel pretty valued.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • As said the program was very well structured and the graduate team was always ready to answer any question we might have. The business representatives furthermore did a fairly good job at explaining what their jobs were about, however not every one of them seemed enthusiastic about being with us but that wasn't a big issue.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • In terms of information received then the program was very, very useful. If you don't have a a clear idea of what a professional services firms does than this is the occasion to discover it. However in therms of skill we didn't learn anything in particular, due to the short time, but the networking skills session was very interesting nonetheless.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The structure was just perfect. Every minute was well organised without any wasted time. Also the order in which the presentations were arranged made a lot of sense. The structure allows you to understand a bit more about almost every parts of the firm which, after all, it's what you would expect from an insight program.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The participants were obviously quite keen. The only downside of this program is that in my opinion a non indifferent proportion of the business representatives weren't really keen or too interested in having us there or running the activities. This obviously doesn't apply to everyone but was just a small shadow on a brilliant program.

    3/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Surely the company in itself invested a lot on this program in terms of time and money. The tried to give us also a big overview of the firm which is a good thing to match your qualities to the right position. So on overall I believe the firm and the graduate recruitment team did really invest in us.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • This depended a lot on the different roles. Some of the roles were very well explained, some were not but on overall you get a pretty good feeling of how it is to work at one of the Big 4.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I think it really gives the feeling of how Deloitte operates, what they do on why they do certain things in certain ways. This mainly thanks to some of the Partners that came to speak with us and did a really good job at explaining why Deloitte was different from the other Big 4, what was it's culture and why they liked to work for the firm.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • This is really useful as a program! Since you're really exposed to what the company does and you get the general atmosphere by meeting a lot of people you than should have a pretty good idea about whether you'll like to work for them or not. Even if you go for not then the experience is eally useful for this so full marks on this point.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Up to a certain limit travel expenses. Accommodation (wonderful) provided.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • A fair amount of opportunities. Mainly the dinner at the end of the first day. Most Deloitte representatives then topped after the dinner to chat with us, that was definitely very nice and useful.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • As said on the previous question, the main networking opportunity was very well organised an useful.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Not really. I guess there wasn't that much time!

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Sure, I'd definitely recommend. I eventually decided not to go for a professional services firm but this insight has been very useful form me in coming to this conclusion. Considering furthermore that you're exposed to some many different roles I think this is invaluable and anyone remotely interested should try to get a spot on this, it's only two days!
