The Role
I was really enjoying coming to my work placement every day as I knew I would learn, meet people in a stimulating environment. During the day, we do not notice that time passes!
We realise that there is few placements and therefore that our colleagues had put a lot of effort to choose us. Thus, the relationships with people are excellent and we are valued as part of a team and as part of the firm network.
People tend to be extremely willing to share their knowledge and experience. This is a win-win process since the management need juniors to learn and be at the top so they provide excellent guidance and provide continous support
In this industry, it is hard to have a perfect balance, though the firm pay a particular attention to balance well the work among people, organising staffing meeting, tailoring team size etc.
As an intern I was extremelly positively surprise with the level and amount of responsibility one can be given. Also it is possible to work with senior management. These responsibilities can be given very soon depending on motivation and performance.
I believe there is few placement like this one where one can truly develop its skills. It is genuinely a place where we developed technical skills (there is a training as well) but also job skills such as working in team, managing time, being analytical etc.
The Company
People are really able to produce serious work but a nice and lively way! Relationships are really good and there is firm events organised to keep it this way.
The internship set up is flaw less and this is really enjoyable !
Event though the firm is not sure about hiring us, it put extra care to train us. We benefit from a lot of investments from the firm: technical training, training for using IT tools, communication skill training, networking events etc.
