The places that the company staff tended to go to were the more expensive areas of Nottingham, which was difficult to be able to comfortably attend under my salary.

As a student I expected a more student-friendly atmosphere, but as the company tended to go to non-student-friendly places, I felt a bit out-of-place. Still, it was enjoyable.

Outings were always available (and paid-for by the company), we went to the cinema, many pubs and lunches, and had a great time.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

I would totally recommend Monumental Games as a company to apply your placement to. They have helped me become a much better designer, and the experience is irreplaceable. Despite my vocation in being a programmer, I have almost been convinced that a role as a designer would be perfect. If I were to choose any company to settle as a designer, it would be without a doubt here.
