The Role
The PageGroup Internship Programme is a brilliant opportunity where you are introduced to all aspects of the job of a recruitment consultant and are never just treated like an 'intern'.
I was always included in work projects, given tasks to work through independently and was always invited to social events!
They were always approachable and friendly. They welcomed any feedback for them too as they wanted to make the internship the best possible experience for the intern and leave a lasting impression about the company.
It is up to the individual how busy they are. You are directly and given work to do initially and then workload is largely up to you!
I was given a lot of responsibility towards the last weeks of the programme once I had learnt the ropes a little. I was interviewing candidates and attending client meetings!
The internship showed me so many different aspects of the types of career and industries I may choose to pursue in the future. The experience has been absolutely invaluable to me and my future and I would recommend the programme to all students! Plus, it is open to both 1st and 2nd year students!
The Company
Everyone would smile and have a laugh with you whilst working very hard and efficiently.
Very well - but, you have to have a strong work ethic and be motivated and interested to get the most out of the programme!
They give you a lot of time and attention and have a training scheme in place with great trainers. The interns receive as much training as those being enrolled on the graduate scheme!
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I was put forward for a role within the company! Opportunities to be enrolled on the graduate scheme following graduation are very very high!
The Culture
Interaction socially between colleagues is a great aspect of the internship - there is no pressure to take part or not take part but the offers are always there.
In London, everything is expensive but the area that I worked in was my choice so mustn't be seen as a negative for the company.
London nightlife is great, let's be fair.
Lots of opportunities for socialising/going for lunch or drinks!
