Role Description

My main tasks involved reconciling various financial statements to one another. I also attended a meeting with a client to take minutes, and performed some analysis of fund performance.

There wasn't too much work going on, so while I offered my services to anyone who might need assistance, there were periods of having nothing to do. By and large, though, I was kept fairly busy.

The Business Focus Course at the beginning was an excellent preparation for the internship, and after that staff were helpful in showing me the ropes and helping me settle in.

We were involved in a Corporate Social Responsibility, and it was made clear that the firm supports its employees in various activities outside of work.

Because of the recession, the length of my placement was reduced from 8 weeks to 4 weeks.
