Two placement within the year...

Food Development Technologist - Melton Foods (Melton Mowbray) -
Main task was reducting the nutritional content of the sanwich range, this was my project and I was left to do all aspects on my own. Tasks included - looking at the sandwich seeing where the high fat/salt content was, talking to suppliers to reduce fat/salt in ingredients such as the mayonnaise, sending the re-developed product to head office or doing sensory pannels at Melton with Waitrose, when approved sending off for nutritional testing and micro testing, trailing products in the factory and launching products.Other projects included similar tasks for limited eddition ranges, christmas sandwiches and christmas party foods.

Training Co-Ordinator- Kensey Foods(Cornwall) - Tasks included co-ordinating all factory basic training, re-developing the induction process, developing a structure for school visits and running the visits. My major task was, with the training manager, develop a assessment centre for the revised management roles withing the factory. When this was completed I was involved with a management team in the running of the assessment centres, this included administrating writted tests, conducting interviews, assessing the candidates in a group exercise.

I wouldn't say running the show but I felt I was a valued member of each team and given all the responsibility I wanted. I was in direct contact with the customer and was part of a management team during the assessment centres.

Was given just over a month to b e relocated from Leicester to Plymouth. this meant I lost out on rent ... when I brought this up it was brushed under the table.
