The Role
The placement was not what I expected, I was told I would be on a management program but was given little responsibility and my training plan was never followed
the trainees I work with are amazing, the best part of the job however most of the management are un helpful and there is no staff motivation.
very little, when I asked why the training plan wasn't being followed they told me if i didn't like it to go home!
in season very busy I worked 16 days with out a day off, my hours ranged from 50-90 per week
hardly any, you are only there to serve the members at the club
although the placement has been disappointing, I have learnt many things on how I would not manage if I had my own team of staff, I haven't learnt many relevant things to do with events ( which is my course)
The Company
Stressed mostly, but when the trainees are all together it could be fun!
terrible,no one communicates its very un professional! the managers dont no who is working where or doing what half the time!
very little
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
I would not come back to work here
The Culture
yes, amongst the other trainees it was good, but nothing was ever organised with work,no trips or events or staff reward scheme
Palm beach night life is quite expensive $10 a drink mostly and taxis cost quite alot!
in the local area there are a few beach bars which are really nice, and about 15 min drive is the city which has a very good night life with lots of bars and clubs
work does not provide anything to do outside of work, but if you arrange it yourself there is plenty to do!
