    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had a good time and it was nice to work with the other interns. However, it wasn't as analytical as I anticipated and perhaps that was a failing on my part for not reading up more.

  • I felt like I mixed in quite well with the team.

  • People were always happy to answer questions and meet up for coffees to talk about markets or their roles.

  • It varied from quite busy to sitting on our hands

  • A fair amount. I had weekly tasks and reports that no one else did.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I got some useful skills for life like better time management and multi-tasking. They were of no use to my degree though

  • People were generally quite positive

  • It relied too heavily on your project manager which was great for some people

  • They seemed to invest a fair amount in the internship programme and they believed in its aims.

  • I got the job

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes everyone was friends with everyone and there were a few nights out together as well.

  • It was definitely possible to get some socialising done most nights of the week.

  • It was London. Need I say more?

  • Yes but with the other interns not from the firm
