Good friendly office with an amazingly fast paced front office. Loved it.

The best thing about HSBC is the brand. The values and culture at the company are the most advanced in the industry, however rewards and perks are fairly low in comparison to other banks.

13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

London is London. As someone who is from there I only had to pay for the tube, which came to about £36 a week. The work was busy and tiring though, so there was absolutely no time to socialise.

14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

As above. The nightlife is amazing but there is no time to enjoy it.

15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

Plenty of charity activities, fundraising and centralised groups to get involved with. Others had a chance to participate in company sports, etc, but I did not seem to come across those opportunities.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

It will forever remain one of the most challenging but most valuable experiences of my life.
