Hey, I have an AC coming up for Disney next week. Can you tell me what kind of preparations I need to do and any expectations. Would really appreciate your advice. Look forward to hearing from you. Thank You Henito Question asked by a RateMyPlacement user on 23rd February 2012: Hi Henito,

I was very fortunate because I didn't have to attend an assessment centre but during my time at Disney I saw a few take place.

What area of the business have you applied for? Or department? It's going to be a great day or two for you, the employees are all fantastic and friendly. I would prepare by doing background research into the specific business segment you've applied for e.g. Media Networks (where I was) The Disney Corp website has a lot of information.

Interns are really valued at Disney so any knowledge you have don't be afraid to speak up. Ask questions (they will enjoy answering them!) Obviously in group situations, natural leadership will shine through so just be yourself and don't worry too much about what you think they are thinking.

Perhaps look into any upcoming launches, releases (depending on what segment you've applied for this could be games, movies, TV shows, consumer products etc). Real life examples are always useful to know about!

Communication is key at Disney. It is so important to talk through decisions, delegate and create outcomes together so just ensure you are communicating your ideas well :)

Hey, Well I've applied for the procurement position and they've said first half of the day will be group work and second half will be the interview. Any additional info will be great. Thanks Question asked by a RateMyPlacement user on 24th February 2012: Unfortunately I was not in the sales/ acquisition department. Does the job description say Disney Media Distribution- Sales? Because I was working in Disney Media Distribution- Marketing team and we worked closely with the sales team to prepare presentations to help the sell programmes to broadcasters.
If you think selling TV programmes and films to UK TV channels will be in your job description, I can perhaps help further. If you're working in a completely different area of business altogether, I won't be able to help unfortunately.
