Role Description

The ten week internship was within an investment team on the equities side of the business. As well as attending all the meetings of the team and analyst meetings with companies, I had my own projects within the team. These were not purely academic and were designed to add value to the team's process. By the end of the placement I had an excellent understanding of the day to day workings of the team, the type of work involved and the strategy of the firm as a whole.

There was little technical to transfer from an Asset Manager to an Engineering student for my final year, however, it was a great help in starting my career with the same firm.

Plenty of bars but few clubs in the City. Mostly nights out were in other areas of London.

There were few activities within the firm, but outside of the placement, largely due to the short term nature of it.
