Role Description

I undertoook gradute responsbilities, over three rotations. The departments that I worked in were Valuations, International Investment and Property Management. I valued a vareity of commercial and residential properties, wrote investment summaries, client reports and liased with Landlords and Tenants.

If I needed any guidance for work I was doing my supervisor would be at hand to help. However, they encouraged me to attempt the work before I asked work and to use my initiative which really helped me to learn and develop very quickly.

There was normally quite a high workload, which meant that the days were quite busy. This helped me to gain as much experience as possible.

I was given a high level of exposure to the property industry which helped me to develop a wide range of practical skills. I can now apply those practical skills to my course and will hopefully achieve a better class of degree. This will help me to find a graduate job aswell. I have made a number of key contacts which will help me in the future as a good network is key in the industry.

I was given graduate responsiblies and I had meetings with my supervisor and councillor after every rotation which helped me to keep on track with everything aswell as my APC.

There was always various events going on, and normally once a week the graduates would go out together.

Yes there were plenty of activities such as doing the 3 peaks challenge, playing football or playing in the surveyors sevens.
