Maintaining databases was the primary function. I had a different market to work with each month and had to ensure that the data collected by data collectors was accurate by comparing it with another firms data.

I think that it has made me realise that I am capable of much more that I thought. I was doing a full time persons job within a couple of months and gave me a bit of confidence in myself for the future

My colleagues were lovely but generally we all worked quietly on our own because theres so much to get done.

For my role they hadn't taken a placement for a long time so there wasn't much set up in the department I was in. I was introduced quite late to the other placement students in the office. However they did have a group e-mail so that we could organise events outside of work which was good

9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

They took time in the beginning to do lots of training because of the company designed computer programs but that was all the training I had.

The location was a problem for me as it was a long commute. Also the local area didn't have much there so not much of a social life with work friends

There seemed to be but because I was introduced much later, I wasn't really that much involved with them. From seeing e-mails they went out together quite a lot

One pub which we sometimes went to on special occassions like birthdays but that was it!

Some but very few. Some charity events like a sponsored walk for example

As long as your prepared to work very very hard then you should be alright on this placement.
