The first piece of work I was asked to do wasn't particularly useful, but the second one was of use to some of them. Most were willing to help even on a pointless piece of work.

They didn't have a very clear idea what they wanted from me, but were helpful if I had questions and gave feedback when asked.

Had a go at writing basic macros in Excel which was new to me and will be useful. Job was irrelevant to my degree or interests.

I was put in a job which had no engineering content, despite supposedly being an engineering intern, but apart from that there were only minor problems.

Easy to get a full time graduate job if you have been an intern, however I haven't applied to go back.

Not many interns where I was, but people were fairly sociable. Mcuh better social scene around Derby and Bristol.

None in Hucknall, but Nottingham is down the road.

Some, but mostly in Derby.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

Interesting company to look around, although interns don't seem to get the most exciting jobs, and you may end up doing something different to what you expected/applied for.
