The Role
- Role Description
Writing market sector strategy for a project in Oman for rigs and stimulation.
Numerous tasks including producing a MArket Intelligence Report, writing Contracts, seeting up Requests for Proposlas from Contractors and Managing Suppliers.- 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

Loved it, got given real work to do, not just photocopying or filing.

Colleagues asked for my advice on their own work.

Guided whenever needed, but also given the freedom to learn.
- 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

Always, but rarely too busy.

I was shown where my work was applied and how it was useful for the team

i AM PLANNING TO ENROL IN A MASTERS COURSE WHICH IS CLOSELY RELATED TO WHAT I DID ON MY INTERNSHIP.
The Organisation

Good amount of fun, but hard working.

Good contact throughout to make sure everythign was going ok.
- 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

A lot of investment both in terms of time and equipment.

after master degree being given a conditional offer

- 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

every thursdays and friday lots of social events organised to meet people and network.
- 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

Very expensive for drinks a rave tickets, but enjoyable
- 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

Very expensive, but enjoyable.
- 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

BP has a lot of clubs etc to get involved in at discounted rates too.
- In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

Loved every second it, will go back once finish studying
