I was given main objectives to complete over the summer, one being the account management of an overseas customer. Other tasks involved creating metrics to measure performance and launching parts onto the shop floor.

The Organisation

The internship was extremely well organised from the assessment center to the beyond the end of the placement. We were given guidance before hand on accommodation and the city and were kept fully informed of expectations throughout the summer.

All of the interns attended an induction day to get to know the company and other areas of the company other than our particular scheme. We were also given extra training to get to know the company's product.

The social scene was great as most of the summer interns were living together in the student halls recommended by the company

I was placed in Derby. Drinks were reasonably cheap on a night out as it is also a student city!
