Managed a development team to deliver two Business Intelligence applications for reporting metrics on projects enhancements; Responsible for effectively managing the resource management documents across functions in GE Healthcare Life Sciences amongst other duties

Not in my degree field, but made the most of it.... and it paid off

I wasn't treated as 'just an intern', but rather as a valued member of the organisation.

Couldn't have asked for better managers/mentors.
- 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

Not a perfect balance, but balanced enough.
- 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

I was trusted with responsibilities like I have been there a long time, which felt good :)
- 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

Was retained part time by the company alongside my studies, and graduated with a 1st class in my degree.

Lots of positive energy.....

Being the first year long intern with them, it was also a learning curve for them, as much as it was for me.

Usually a nice (almost every) Friday lunch with colleagues at a nearby restaurant.

Its London.....
- 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

Fridays were good!
- 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

The company is very community oriented, supporting four (4) different local charities.
- In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

Despite it not being in my degree field, I was taught how to 'walk the ropes' with patience.
