Spent the first two weeks doing nothing because the supervisior for me was to busy and my manager didn't care. Had only trvial work to do after that completed unrelated to my degree

I could have done this work at high school, completely unrelated to my degree. Everyone is meant to do a personal devolopment report but my manager was to busy to ever do mine with me.

I was the only placement student at the site despite being told there would be three others before starting.

13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

Reasonable. Had to live in the city though and travel out to the site everyday as I couldn't afford a to stay in the near by town.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

A placement is certainly good, but I would not recommend Rolls Royce or atleast be very careful about what site and section you are willing to go to. I was meant to be doing engineering but done anything but it. Certainly one of the worst experiences of my life.
