The work wasnt what I expected it to be. The description given on the website is more the job role for a senior engineer than an undergraduate.

Didnt really feel incorporated into the department. This may have been because the work I was undertaking was independent to the rest of the departments activities.

There was always a large quantity of work to complete. However the type of work was sometimes a bit tedious, making concentration on tasks difficult.

Due to the experience required for design tasks only a very limited amount of responsibility was available. It did not seem to be encouraged to take on more responsibility, did not know where to go to ask for more.

The level of accuracy and work ethic instilled during the placement will be very useful for my final year at university. Also the computational skills I have gained during my placement will be very useful.

he atmosphere wasnt terible and was sometimes very good. However wouldnt say it was ever fun.

The overall programme was very well looked after and managed. However on the departmental level fell some improvements could have been made. The plan for the work which would be undertaken could have been thought out before the placement started rather than being given odd jobs to do.

Quite a large amount of time was given for personal development including external events to aid in chartership and internal presentations. If required training was available.

The graduate programme is well paid and the company would seem to be keen to recruit new graduates. Despite not enjoying my time 100% I am considerign returning to the company.

On the whole the graduates all stuck together and organised regular get togethers at lunch and outside of work hours.

Housing was quite expensive but not extravagently so.
