  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The internship provided for a real helicopter view of banking at Nomura, while zooming in on certain banking practices. Very useful insights in pitching and applying for a job.

    • Good personalized contacts with the Nomura staff; possibility to ask all relevant questions with genuine answers.

    • One on one valuable insights e.g. re applying for a job/interviews.

    • Skills I developed through e.g. the "dragon den pitch" are relevant for future group presentations. The internship provided for relevant skills re the courses related to "financial markets" and "financial management"

    • The insight always provided for the comprehensive broad picture

    • It was great to be part of a diverse group of graduate students with similar interests and ambitions. Very stimulating contacts.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • It is clear that Nomura invested a lot in my personal development by offering the opportunity to "shadow" Nomura staff in their daily professional operations. Nomura equally invested strongly by establishing panels who transferred their experience and views to the collective group.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • The insight allowed me to understand that banking at Nomura comprises a number of very different full time roles within the company.

    • I think I have got good understanding of Nomura's company culture and strengths.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?

    • Very. I had very much an abstract perception of banking. Today I have a much clearer view of what work at a bank stands for and I have a much better idea about the functions that would fit with me and those that would not.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • The reimbursement of my travel expenses is a nice gesture made by the firm, but it was not essential for me.

    • Might have been more developed, also outside the working hours
