I was tasked with producing material which was to be presented to both potential and existing clients. It was excellent to be contributing rather than just printing and fetching coffees.

Very pleased to have come to RBC as their scheme is highly professional. I've spoken to peers at other banks who've had to do school-like tasks most of the time.

Our seniors always took the time to answer questions and give context to the work they required. Plus a week's training at the start provided some basic Excel, accounting and valuation skills.

Occasional drinks outings occured, but focus of the 8 weeks was to work hard and gain experience/exposure to the sectore

£4 beer, accommodation from approx £150 a week. Would recommend getting accommodation as close to the office as possible.

Again, there may be more opportunities for full-time employees, but as interns the focus was on work. Also, the Global Investment Banking Division is obviously very work-orientated.
