Role Description

I sat in two different seats during the 3 week placement. The duties and tasks depended on the department and in particular how busy it was. In general, though, the tasks were legal research, drafting and occasionally proof-reading. I was, however, given a reasonable level of responsibility. I felt the experience was representative of a trainee experience.

On some of the days in the quieter department, I felt as though there was not enough for me to do. I found myself dragging tasks which could have been completed quicker because I knew there was not really anything else for me to do. This, however, wasn't anything anyone could have foreseen or done anything about - it was a generally quiet period in the office.
